Nite-Owl x Rorschach Stamp by ASaltyBanana Nite-Owl x Rorschach Stamp by ASaltyBanana
Do NOT want.

Denial... I refuse to believe anyone would slash any Watchmen characters... but apparently there are people who DO... but if they want to, let it be... *shiver* Que sera sera.
I do NOT support Nite Owl II/Rorschach ANYTHING.

Feel completely free to use. Actually don't even tell me if you use it.

I only picked up on the slash in the movie, not in the novel.  But hey, if there must be a slash pairing, they are totally the right two.

Aha, yes. I have to agree. I do see this is much older, even before the movie, which I sadly have to admit was my first expierence with the Watchmen. I mean, don't get me wrong, I absolutley love the movie. However, in my point of view, I have a hard time making a believable fan of the Watchmen as I've never encountered the actual novel. I do know quite a bit about it, though. I just have to get my hands on it...

...Back on subject. (Sorry!) But, yes, I do most deffinitely agree with you. It's a strange story, really. Upon seeing the movie- and with prior knowledge on Rorschach and his unconfortable realationship with women- I asumed, if anyhting, he was a homosexual. Now I am aware that he is not, (And I'm rather ashamed for thinking so in the first place.) and that he is rather homophobic, actually. ...I'm done rambling now. Thankyou for your time.

In fact, I think Rorschach was a homophobe.
'Meeting with Veidt left bad taste in mouth. Possibly homosexual? Must remember to investigate further.'

rorshach was an everythingphobe essentially.

actually, if rorschach is homophobic, he's also a misogynist.
the most cannon thing about his sexuality is probably that he's asexual and is deeply disturbed by anything sexual in nature.

however, the one person he did begin to warm up to was dan, so their relationship doesn't have to be classified a sexual one within slash fanfiction or fan art; furthermore, rorschach did display affection towards dan-- albeit being platonic affection, and even a platonic relationship is considered a loving bond that does not deal in anything sexual in nature so the two being paired does have analytical backing.. haha--

I'm just reading too much into it.

gah anyway, just let the fangirls have their way, they always will. C;

BUT IT'S SOOOO OBVIOUS!!111 THEY LOVE EACH OTHER.
Well affectionate in brotherhood in arms,"no one ever showed any sort of affection or care for me" type terms.

But I still love it because it's both hilarious and adorable.
And if you read a particularly intelligent one (although you're going to retaliate with a THE WHOLE THING IS STUPID argument) it's quite interesting. Not just for the smut but for the Jungian psychological shadow bag of the subconscious childhood trauma fill in the gap deal.

But whatever, we're all entitled to our own opinions. Stamps are useless at changing others minds, it's rather a use of displaying it as a safety blanket to safeguard yourself from the INDECENT AND SINFUL MINDS OF FANGIRLS.
But it won't do much considering it's not a big deal anyway.

The internet ruins childhoods, passions, etc. only if you make it so.

AAAAAAGH THANK YOU. Everyone seems to love this pairing, but it's really more of a "bros in crimefighting" sort of thing rather than a romance... :/

Eh, I never saw it in Moore's writing.

Captain Metropolis: Briefly mentioned as having been decapitated in a car accident in 1974. Allusions were made to a relationship with Hooded Justice, which Moore tacitly confirmed in 1988, saying "I wanted to approximate real life as much as possible and that meant giving each of the characters a sexual identity."
The Hooded Justice: Involved in a phony relationship with Sally Jupiter to hide his homosexual involvement with Captain Metropolis, the Hooded Justice disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the early 1950s, presumably murdered by the Comedian, in retaliation for Hooded Justice preventing his former teammate from raping Sally Jupiter years earlier.

Is hard not to slash Watchmen characters because almost all the characters are gay or the writers make some implied homosexuality.
But, even when i have no problem with slash. I don't like Dan/Rory, i hate it. At first it got my attention, but there's TOO MUCH of it. And when i say that there's too much, there's really too much.
What piss me off the most it's that with all that attention towards this pairing, almost nobody writes about my Watchmen OTP. ¬¬

Anyway. Good stamp. I could use it, maybe. If i get more Dan/Rory hate inside my brain xD

Yeah,... and all those are really minor characters what had small plot impact, and only appeared in one issue.

That's like saying almost all the characters are black, or that watchmen is a feminist story because nearly all the characters were female.

While I do like me my yaoi, I just think this pairing is completely impossible. Rorschach has difficulty trusting anyone just as an acquaintance. I don't think it's even possible for him to fall in love, considering his screwed up mind. I mean, Dan's the only friend he's ever had, and even that friendship is awkward and certainly non-yaoiy. That hand holding moment? Another example of Rorschach's social awkwardness. It's one of the few times he's actually tried to be nice to someone, and he has no idea wtf to do.

In other words, I prefer watching them as friendship fluff, just because it seems there are very few true male friendships in literature nowadays. And then those are immediately discounted as yaoi. :|

I think Rorschach's personal hygiene (sp?) would put a dampener on any relationship anyway (I bet he has deliberately offensive hygiene in order to ward off fangirls)

It doesn't disturb me, but does bug me because Rorschach was not into relationships and Nite Owl loved Ms. Jupiter. Moreover, the Watchmen never his their sexualities, whoever was straight, gay, bisexual or just not into relationships showed it through and through. Slashing anyone at this point doesn't make sense because it's way too clear who's into what. If you want to make stories about gay pairings using the Watchmen, why not just use the characters who actually are gay?
